Teachers spend their days pouring into other people's children — and at the end of the year, they go home with fourteen scented candles and nine "Best Teacher Ever" mugs from the grocery store. If you want your gift to be the one they actually keep, make it personal.
The gift teachers talk about in the staff room
Our Teacher Definition Journal is consistently one of our best sellers, and the reviews tell you why: it reframes what a teacher is — patience, dedication, second parent, miracle worker — printed on a quality vegan leather journal they'll use all year. Add their name and it becomes a keepsake. Browse all our personalized journals to find their subject or role.
Gift ideas by moment
- End of school year: a definition journal signed inside by the whole class.
- Christmas: a personalized journal or color-accent mug with their name — useful, personal, and under most gift budgets.
- Retirement: an acrylic plaque honoring their years of service — something that belongs on a shelf, not in a cupboard.
- Student teacher send-off: a journal for lesson plans and first-year notes.
What to write in a teacher gift
Stuck on the personalization? These always land:
- "Thank you for believing in [child's name]"
- "The influence of a great teacher can never be erased"
- Their name + "Teacher, Mentor, Friend"
Group gifts made easy
